Brief
The brief asked me and my classmates to create an advert that would rebrand a Unilever product. For this I chose to rebrand Ben & Jerry's ice-cream because it was my favorite of all the products I had researched and as it has such a distinct advertisement I thought it'd be simple to think of a rebrand. Ben & Jerry's typically advertises to kids or young adults, because of this I decided to appeal to the older generation and to have the advert be played with a nostalgic feeling for it.
The Finished Product & Feedback
I used a google form to collect feedback on my advert and overall people responded well to the advert. They were able to re3cognise the intended target audience and were entertained by the final product.
I do this I managed to get the intended message of feeling younger by having ben and jerry's and it seems the feedback agrees.
I initially wanted my advert to have an overall happy feeling in it and to make people feel nostalgic and like they could be young again. I think my advert did this exactly and I think the advert would affect my target audience as intended.
A good example of something we used for the aesthetic of the advert is the grey button up shirt. I wanted something that would make it easier for the audience to make the connection of the old man in the beginning is the same character as the younger man at the skatepark
Here is the old man in the grey button up shirt
